Hamsadhwani’s 20th Anniversary celebrations was inaugurated on 15th August 2010 at Youth Hostel, Indira Nagar by Mr. N.Murali, Senior M.D., The Hindu and President, The Music Academy, Chennai.
Ms. Preetha Reddy, M.D., Apollo Hospitals lighted the Kuthuvilakku to give the Celebrations an auspicious start. Hamsadhwani honoured Narada Gana Sabha for its contribution to Music, Arts and Culture for a period of more than 50 years.
Mr. S. Krishnaswamy, Secretary, Narada Gana Sabha received the honours on behalf of the Sabha. The inauguration was followed by a scintillating recital of Grand Bharathanatyam by Dr. Vyjayanthimala Bali.

OUR BELOVED FOUNDER

As part of the 20th Anniversary celebrations, on 18th.August, Hamsadhwani’s Annual Distinguished Citizen’s Award 2010 was bestowed on Mrs. Y.G.Parthasarathy, Dean and Director PSBB School and Mr. S.P.Ambrose, Founder of the neighborhood newspaper ‘Adyar Times’. This was followed by a superlative Special Contemporary Classical Music by Anil Srinivasan on Piano, Sikkil Gurucharan Vocal and Purushothaman on Kanjeera.
